Rome is the realization of the dream of bringing light to a place that for entire centuries has illuminated the world.
In Rome, not only a catalog product was needed, a standard product, in Rome was needed a product suited to the peculiarity of a city like the capital.
Compared to other inhabited centers, Rome has on average wider streets and deeper sidewalks.

In 2016, the replacement of around 70,000 lighting fixtures entrusted by ACEA to Arianna spa began in Rome, with a series of tenders that required efficiency, and reduction of consumption and particular attention to the extraordinary urban context. The old discharge lamps have been replaced with LED floodlights as part of an overall lighting project that intervenes at all levels for maximum results with minimum impact.
The replacement of 7000 suspensions
The first tender in 2017 entrusted the replacement of 7000 suspensions in the central streets of Rome, Lungotevere and Trastevere, contexts where for historical and artistic reasons it is not possible to install poles. Arianna focused the intervention on traditional 150 or 250 watt lighting bodies which were replaced with the new generation 49 watt Arianna Snell LED lighting body with high lighting quality and annual energy savings of € 500,000.
The first supply of Phileo
At the end of 2017, Acea also received the first supply of Phileo, the new modular combination prepared by Arianna, with the replacement of approximately 50,000 functional lighting bodies. In the areas adjacent to the historic center and in the urban area of the municipality of Rome, Phileo and Phileo mini are being installed in 4 power sizes, with optics prepared and combined ad hoc, which optimize consumption to the maximum, on the Acea project.
Tunnels and underpasses
In 2018, Acea's collaboration extends to the tunnel / underpass sector of particular relevance for safety reasons. The project involves the replacement of 7000 lighting bodies, again through the Phileo solution specifically tested in the tunnel version.
A solution for the historic center
Particularly significant was the street furniture tender where Acea requested an innovative solution applicable to the "Rome street lamps" that characterize the historic center, to which Arianna responded with Margot: a solution that provides for a new optical engine with optical LEDs and power supply, more reliable efficient in preserving the artistic context. The approximately 9000 light points are all set with a more specific light tone than the peripheral areas, with a warmer color temperature and significantly higher color rendering.
Now Arianna's lighting fixtures are ready to illuminate the lives of 3,000,000 people and almost three thousand years of history.
